Sophie la girafe has lost her spots
Sophie la girafe is celebrating 60 years of soothing gums and the creators are handing over the reins to the public to help design a unique collector’s edition.
With her anniversary just a few months away, Sophie has lost her spots and has her sights on a brand-new birthday print. People around the world are being invited to get involved in designing a limited edition version.
Sophie By Me will launch later this year and will be a global collaboration of millions of her fans. Voting opened mid-January and closes on 7th February. During this time, retailers and the public can vote for their favourite celebratory Sophie.
Choosing between 12 patterns and 5 colours per pattern, there are 60 options.
The teething toy is made from 100% natural rubber derived from the sap of the Hevea tree and food grade non-toxic paint.
Commenting on the vote and upcoming milestone, Lorraine from 1 two KIDS, Sophie’s UK distributor said, “The super cute, safe and natural teething toy is truly adored by her fans and has quite the global following. It certainly seems fitting to get the Sophie lovers of the world involved in marking such a significant milestone. We hope Sophie fans young and old get involved in the fun and are excited to see which design is the winner.”
