Silver Cross has been given the highest ADAC rating for a second year running, this time for its best-selling Silver Cross Simplicity Plus car seat – awarded the joint top rating of all infant carriers tested by ADAC in 2021, with a score of 1.7 when tested with the ISOFIX base.

Meanwhile, the Silver Cross Dream with i-Size base remains the safest infant carrier on the market with its record-breaking, best-ever ADAC score of 1.5, which was set last year.

German-based ADAC is an internationally recognised independent testing body, renowned for its rigorous approach to crash testing. As part of testing, ADAC puts each car seat through a comprehensive range of front and side impact tests, all exceeding standard European requirements. As well as safety, ADAC testing takes other factors into account such as operation, ergonomics and pollutants.

Hamish McPhillips, Silver Cross Car Safety Manager, says: “We’re delighted with this excellent result and proud that Silver Cross has two of the safest car seats on the market, both having been tested to the highest possible standard by an independent, world-leading safety authority.”

Simplicity Plus is suitable from birth to approximately 15 months, and offers safety and comfort from day one, combining all the practical features of the brand’s award-winning Simplicity car seat with new and enhanced seat ergonomics. The new and improved seat position provides greater comfort, while optimum side impact protection ensures baby always travels safely.
