Silver Cross’ award-winning car safety collection has a new look for 2020.
The brand launched four car seats last year – Dream, Motion, Balance and Discover. The Dream infant carrier and Dream i-Size base achieved the highest score ever awarded by ADAC, the globally renowned independent testing body.
The new car safety collection maintains all the award-winning features of the original designs, but now in an all-black Donington colourway. In another new development, Balance is now an i-Size car seat, which means all three early years seats meet the latest i-Size crash safety standards.
The Silver Cross car safety collection offers solutions from birth to 12 years, so parents can easily select the correct one for each stage of their child’s development. A breathable, naturally anti-bacterial bamboo fabric that’s soft to the touch is used across all four car seats. It has thermo-regulating properties to absorb moisture, keeping little ones warm yet dry, while hypo-allergenic properties make it suitable for sensitive baby skin. All of the seats offer ISOFIX for easy fitting and, for added reassurance, the collection is supported by a unique Car Safety Made Simple mobile app. It links to a QR code on each car seat and provides a simple step-by-step installation guide, so parents know their car seat is fitted safely and correctly.

The new collection includes:
Dream i-Size infant carrier: when used with the Dream i-Size Base, it achieved the best-ever score awarded by ADAC, a world-leading independent testing body. Babies are surrounded by four-layer side impact protection and there’s a newborn insert, with removable sections to adjust as they grow plus a 5-position headrest. Suitable from birth to approximately 15 months, Dream is also compatible with Silver Cross prams and pushchairs.
Motion i-Size: Suitable from birth to approximately four years, Motion is an i-Size 360° rotating car seat which allows children to be rearward facing for longer. It has a fixed side-loading position so parents can secure their baby safely and comfortably, while unique Motion Safe Side impact protection keeps little ones safe on every journey.
Balance i-Size: Balance is a multi-stage i-Size car seat which grows with your child from 15 months to 12 years. The 5-point harness can be used up to a maximum weight of 20.5kg, then stores away neatly in the seat for continued use up to 150cm. Balance i-Size has a removable insert with side wings and a head hugger, while memory foam seat padding on the base makes it comfortable.
Discover: Suitable from approximately three to 12 years of age, Discover is a high back booster seat offering maximum safety, comfort and ease of use. The headrest easily adjusts into 5 different positions, while the side wings expand to offer space and protection as little ones grow.
