Award-winning British baby and children’s clothing brand Rachel Riley is delighted to announce a collaboration with premium Merino Wool brand Smalls to create a capsule collection.

The limited edition collection combines key shapes and styles in Smalls’ core range along with Rachel Riley’s signature colour palette and playful prints – and the result is a perfect blend of British design and luxury traceable Merino wool.

The collection is centred around a vintage lamb – a nod to Smalls’ New Zealand roots – and is made using the brand’s Italian spun, New Zealand-grown fabric. It comprises ultrafine base layer pieces including vests, long-sleeved tops, baseball tees, leggings, snood and babygrows from newborn to 14 years and prices range from £35 to £95. Colours include sugar pink, dusty blue, french navy and moon grey and a fine heart and star shaped print in pink and blue.

Emma Jane-Adam & Cat Pharo from Smalls met Rachel Riley at an industry event and they instantly hit it off. Their creative minds came together to create a collection which brings the best of both brands together.

“We are very excited to be working with Smalls on this collaboration,” explains Riley. “We have been fans of the brand ever since it launched and have always wanted to add a versatile, base layer range to our collection and can’t think of a better brand to partner with. The quality of their garments is unrivalled and I love how durable and easy to maintain they are, which is in keeping with our own philosophy of smart, easy to wear pieces for babies and children.”

Smalls’ co-founders Emma-Jane and Cat add, “We are passionate about spreading the word about what a wonder fabric Merino wool is and are delighted to be introducing our brand to new customer base through Rachel Riley. Merino wool’s natural temperature regulating properties means that it is perfect for both day and night – keeping the wearer warm when it’s cool, and cool when it’s warm. In fact, Smalls’ Merino has also been proven to give wearers an extra 15 minutes sleep a night – something which every parent will appreciate!”
