A world’s-first innovation in baby and child transportation solutions, today we reveal the revolutionary new SlideTech™ technology from Maxi-Cosi. Setting an ergonomic precedent, the car seat can both rotate and slide towards the parent when getting their child in and out of the vehicle. Marking a new standard in car seat innovation, the 360 Pro Family will be available from all good retailers across the UK and Ireland from 24th April 2023.
Since they created the first infant car seat in the 1980s, and subsequently carried more than 60 million babies home from hospital, Maxi-Cosi has lead the way when it comes to research, innovation and safety. The new SlideTechTM technology on the FamilyFix 360 Pro base allows parents to simply lock, slide, spin and go! No more leaning over, no back pains and no more struggles, cited by 90 per cent of parents across the globe
SlideTechTM is only part of the revolutionary new system from Maxi-Cosi, which includes the FamilyFix 360 Pro Sliding Base: the perfect companion for the Pebble 360 Pro and Pearl 360 Pro car seats. The FamilyFix 360 Pro slide-out base also features FlexiSpin, a clever 360° rotative system that enables Pebble 360 Pro and Pearl 360 Pro to be easily rotated with only one hand in any reclined position. Endorsed by healthcare professionals and rigorously tested and approved, this new offering is set to be a game-changer for parents when it comes to comfort and convenience.
Guillaume Sauvetre, Product Director says: “At Maxi-Cosi, we strive to develop the safest, most comfortable solutions. We have created the 360 Pro Family as a solution to parents’ biggest frustrations when taking their little ones in and out of the car seat – such as not having enough space to move in and around the car, buckling up little ones and bumping their head on the door frame. The features are designed to make car seat struggles a thing of the past!”
Little ones will sleep soundly in comfort thanks to the unique extended recline positions of both the Pebble 360 Pro and Pearly 360 Pro. Tested to the highest standards by the brand, both seats offer excellent safety and comfort for children aged 0-4 years old as well as ease of use for parents. The Pebble 360 Pro delivers maximum comfort for babies aged 0-15 months and features three recline positions, including a unique full lie-flat position that can be used in both cars and when attached to compatible pushchairs too. The Pearl 360 Pro boasts five recline positions, offering optimum comfort for toddlers throughout their journey, sleeping or wide awake.
The 360 Pro Family has been designed to meet the highest i-Size safety standards, including features such as an anti-misuse lock to ensure rearward-facing travel to at least 15 months, integrated ISOFIX connectors and indicators which turn green when both the base and seat are properly installed. Each product undergoes rigorous testing – meaning that they not only comply to the latest legal standards, but they far surpass them to meet Maxi-Cosi’s exceptionally high quality and safety standards.
The collection is created to comply with the latest i-Size ECE R129 regulations and has proven durability from the brand’s rigorous internal testing procedures, giving parents the peace of mind. The 360 Pro Family is also approved and endorsed by independent healthcare professionals and has received the Aktion Gesunder Rücken (AGR) Seal of Approval for products that protect against back pain.
Raul Sepulveda, President and CEO of Dorel Juvenile Europe: “Maxi-Cosi has always pioneered innovation in technology that make parents’ lives easier. As a brand, we are constantly listening and responding to feedback. As a result, we have earned the trust of parents worldwide. Now, with the world’s first sliding carseat technology, we are once again shaping the future of transportation for children.”
The Maxi-Cosi brand was born in 1984 and has carried over 50 million babies home from the hospital. Maxi-Cosi is recognised as the leading brand in infant car seats, with many parents across Europe using ‘Maxi-Cosi’ as the generic name for a baby car seat. That reputation is built on a long history of innovative ‘firsts’: first 5-star ADAC rating, first i-Size car seat, first to invent the rotative car seat, first to make the family base and first to have air bags and modularity in baby car seats. The brand’s unparalleled safety standards are also a significant contributing factor behind its continued success. Maxi-Cosi aims for the highest level of safety, using internal safety standards and criteria to test all products next to the highest industry standard. As a result, Maxi-Cosi car seats have won numerous safety awards from independent safety research organisations.
