Having been cancelled last year due to Covid, it was great to see so many brands and buyers for the toy industry turning out to the much anticipated Toy Fair at Olympia this week.

This year’s event saw more than 260 exhibitors launching exciting new toys that will become the must-have products for 2022.

The team from Nursery Online attended on day one and were struck by the number of exciting new nursery and pre-school toys as well as many eco-friendly options. It was also lovely to see Rainbow Designs’ Talking Paddington voted winner of the presitgious Editor’s Choice Award (marmalade sandwich, anyone?)

Toy Fair is the UK’s largest dedicated toy, game and hobby trade exhibition, one of the key events for the nursery industry and plays host to hundreds of exhibitors, from startups to some of the biggest toy companies, launching thousands of new toy lines.

Toy Fair’s Hero Toys 2022 represent the toy ranges likely to be most popular in the year ahead and this year’s winners include popular licenses – Spider-man, CocoMelon and Hey Duggee – as well as range of products that represent family play and STEM toys, including a medical science kit.
