Balou was founded and created by British designer Miss Banayioda Theodorou, inspired by her daughter. She describes her relationship with her daughter as each others sidekicks, and she wanted to create a character which represented all children’s sidekick – Balou.
She also wanted to create a brand which provided luxury young fashion which was affordable to the many.
Balou products include Clothing from Newborn up to 12 Years of age, Accessories, Travel Cases, Gifting and newly in Footwear.
The brand encompasses preparer, country club fused with urban edge in premium quality and style.
Balou not only produces high quality products with attention to detail, but also ensures everything they make is easy to care for, easy to wear and durable.
Balou launched its bricks and mortar store in Stratford-upon-Avon in November 2019, the feedback has been outstanding with recent news of British Vogue reaching out for Balou to feature in their magazine.
In the coming season Balou will be adding additional designs to the product range and additional variants of sizing to existing items as well as adult sizes to clothing items for their ‘Mummy & Me / Daddy & Me’ concept.
