Joy and Joe Baby was announced as winner of the BANTA Awards in the Child Carrier category this week at Harrogate International Nursery Fair.

Joy and Joe baby wraps were founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife team Mayor and Bisi and have since won Best baby and toddler gear 2013, gold award for Bizzie Baby 2013-2014 and other awards.

The brand is named after Mayor and Bisi’s children. Joy was born with Down Syndrome and needed specialist medical care and it was during this time that Bisi observed how important touch and connection was with the bonding and recouperation process with her daughter. The idea for the brand was born, although it wasn’t until Joy no longer required 24-hour care that Bisi was able to fully research baby slings and develop the brand. 

As well as stretchy wraps, Joy and Joe produce ring slings and woven wraps in a range of designs and sustainable fibre blends, to suit all parents and babies.

Joy and Joe Baby is based in St Helen’s and all their products are manufactured and fulfilled here in the UK.

They have built a reputable brand with an award-winning product. For the past three years, their organic cotton stretchy wrap has been the number one bestseller on Amazon.
