Pushchair brand, didofy, are all about helping families to make memories that last a lifetime. As part of this mission, they have launched a new collection this month, the Cosmos Bloom. We caught up with co-founder, Josephine Votsis to find out more.

Tell us a bit about you and your brand. What does it stand for?

At didofy, we know that family life can bring about plenty of challenges and we believe that folding a pushchair shouldn’t be one of them. We aim to take the stress out of folding a pushchair, with our one-hand easy folding strollers, so parents can hold and focus on their baby and never miss a moment. Our Lotus pushchair uses our auto-fold and even has an inbuilt mobile phone charger. Our Cosmos Bloom and Cosmos travel systems use our GravityFold system and our Aster stroller has an innovative MagicFold.

You’ve launched the new Cosmos Bloom pushchair this month. What’s special about it and why introduce it now?

Our Cosmos Bloom is the latest flexible travel system addition to the didofy family. The Cosmos Bloom comes with all the benefits of the Cosmos, but with more premium features, fabrics, finishes and styling. It is a one-handed GravityFold pushchair which can be purchased as individual items or a 9-piece travel system.

The RRP of the 9-piece travel system is £750 which is a £150 saving on purchasing each item separately. The premium anodised frame is available in either silver or rose gold, paired with luxury fabrics in a choice of three colours, Koala Grey, Savannah Khaki and Midnight Black.

We really believe that it combines unique features, practicality, attention to detail and premium styling in one beautiful, user-friendly pushchair.

How have the international shipping delays impacted on your business?

The first containers of the Cosmos Bloom were due to arrive at Southampton in early December but – like many – we had to wait patiently for the ship to enter the port and unload.

It was a frustrating challenge having stock sitting on the water but delays and more shipping expense are likely to stay for a while, so we just have to plan around this and be as prepared as possible so that customers are not left with delays.

What are your views on pushchair trends for 2021?

We believe that 2021 will see the launch of even more innovative pushchairs. Whether this is innovation is unique features and tech, materials to reduce the weight, fabric types and colours, or a combination of all of these, I think there are some exciting things to come this year across the market.

You’re always keen to work closely with retailers. Do you have anything special to offer them at the moment?

Our retailers are an integral part of the didofy family. They are often the face of didofy, so we work hard to support them as much as possible. We offer drop ship, free carriage, no minimum order quantities and a range of POS, and run special offers, which are often sent to our partner retailers.

Finally, any exciting plans for 2021 as the world (hopefully!) starts to open up again?

We’ve had an exciting start to the year with the trade and consumer launch for the Cosmos Bloom. The reaction to it has been brilliant which we are delighted about. We also launched our new ultra-compact stroller didofy Aster to trade and soft launched in to consumers in advance of its arrival in March. The response has been fantastic and it has already been awarded the ‘IndyBest Best Buy’ compact stroller with its innovative features such as the MagicFold. We are working hard in the background developing more exciting and innovative features and products. So watch this space…
