The childrenswear community turned out in force last week in support of the industry’s much- loved national trade show, INDX Kidswear, which took place at Cranmore Park exhibition venue in Solihull from 30-31 January.
Amidst the ongoing challenges of holding a live format event, visitor attendance for this edition of INDX Kidswear was close to its pre-COVID levels, and the show welcomed over 800 visitors across its two-day duration.
Nursery Online was pleased to attend and met with some fantastic baby and pre-school clothing brands. It was lovely to see an array of new launches from firm favourites such as Ziggle, Nibbling and Turtle Dove London, as well as new emerging brands such as Jammie Doodles. What struck us most was the wide offering of organic and sustainable fashion with on-trend earthy and scandi colourways and prints. Little Green Radicals had a lovely new collection of designs which are organic and Fairtrade, and Musli had some of the prettiest designs we have seen for some time. Pigeon Organics had on show some timeless classics with stripes and animal prints, but probably one of our favourite stories came from new brand MAI (Making Animals Important), a cute line of organic clothing inspired by the founder’s 4 years old daughter watching David Attenborough. Every item MAI sells raises money to protect high risk animals and their habitats, and the clothing comes in plastic-free packaging .
INDX Kidswear organiser, Varsha Chohan reflects on a successful show: “Visitor turnout has been amazing, and we are now getting back to the attendance recorded in 2019, pre-COVID. It’s been lovely to host such a busy and buzzy show and to see so many familiar faces. It’s also been encouraging to welcome so many new businesses, and whilst exhibitors have been generally delighted with the level of orders placed across the 2 days, the number of new accounts opened has been significant”
Delivering an exciting showcase, which this season featured over 130 market leading brands, INDX Kidswear is part of the INDX group of trade shows which delivers over 20 shows a year across fashion and home sectors and is brought to market by leading UK buying group Associated Independent Stores (AIS). Renowned for its unique business and buyer focussed format, INDX Kidswear is a key order-writing show and a must-visit for childrenswear stockists.
INDX Kidswear will return to Cranmore Park from 03 – 04 July 2022, and exhibitors are already lining up to reserve their stands.
