INDX Kids AW20 Recap
This week, the INDX Kidswear Show returned to the midlands jam packed with a larger showroom exhibiting over 200 brands across the two days.
Held at the Cranmore Park Conference and Event Centre in Solihull, buyers, independent retailers and press weren’t deterred by Storm Ciara.
Battling the elements, trade visitors turned out in their droves to discover what was in store for AW20.
A few trends emerged from our floor walks. Christening and special occasion brands was a very strong category within the show with well-known brands such as Caramelo Kids, Beau KiD, and Kidz Corner.
Another strong theme of eco-friendly and sustainable fashion was also a clear winner amongst consumers. From sourcing fabric, to packaging and materials, a number of brands stood out for paying close attention to all aspects of this market, including Piccalilly, Frugi and Little Green Radicals.
The appeal of twinning also shone through. One brand that we particularly loved and think is one to watch is Jammie Doodles with their contemporary prints and organic sleepwear available in matching sets for kids and adults.
From a trade perspective, it certainly seems that INDX Kids has a lot to offer to the industry. The show was a sell out since August 2019 with an extensive waiting list and enquiry list seeing over 40 new brands showing for the first time, and also the return of long term exhibitors and strong ambassadors such as Toby Tiger, Kissy Kissy, and Blue Seven.
The show was a real mix of UK and international brands, attracting worldwide buyers from as far as Israel, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
The next INDX Kidswear show for SS21 will be held 5-6th July 2020. Find out more on their website.
