Exclusive interview: TFK
While Sales Director, Henrik Liedberg focuses on growth in Germany, UK sales will be in the capable hands of industry expert, Donna Samuel.
“We’re looking forward to introducing our collection of super high-performance strollers to specialist retail stores who have the skills and knowledge to sell our products to discerning parents. Our strollers are expertly built using German parts and for that reason, they are best suited to brick-and-mortar stores for parents to ‘touch and feel’.
Having just won the Gold Award for ‘Best All-Terrain Stroller’ on the test track at the recent Baby Project Awards is pretty amazing for an unknown brand, so we know parents will love our products”
“TFK strollers are built for rugged outdoor use – whether on the beach, in the countryside, on the mountains – and in all weather conditions. As well as the standard EN18-88 safety tests, our products undergo special testing at TUV Austria, which means they are certified for sports use, such as jogging. Unusually for a stroller, TFK products even feature disc brakes which work like a bicycle; parents can use them like a handbrake – when jogging downhill, for instance. But, of course, active families also need something suitable for the school run and the shopping mall: our products do both.
“As well as the usual weather and water resistant fabrics, our products have some unusual features, using the best of German quality materials. For instance, we use super durable, all terrain tyres from Schwalbe, normally used on high-end mountain bikes and screws – not rivets. This means any repairs can be carried out quickly and easily, offering easy maintenance for customers with no need to bring their stroller back to the store or sent back to the manufacturer.
In fact, with a return rate of just 0.8%. for every stroller, we aim to see very few parents requiring after sales support but nevertheless we offer customers a 2-year ‘flexible’ guarantee,”and if needed, a fully equipped UK-based service department for past and present customers if any issues arise.”
“With the premium quality people have come to expect from German brands, our products are highly durable – especially important in the current economic climate. The option to add an extra seat for a sibling eliminates the need for a double buggy, offering parents a cost effective choice while the seat itself can be removed and replaced, lengthening the stroller’s lifespan.”
“We offer product training to all of our specialist retailers, supporting them through our team based in the UK .
We are looking forward meeting you at Stand B23 at Harrogate International Nursery Fair.”
