Baby weaning brand, EasyTots, has won investment on BBC1’s Dragons’ Den.

Founder, Helen Davies, pitched her range of portable weaning suction plates to the Dragon’s on Thu 27th May, with an amazing response. She was delighted to receive an offer of investment in the Den from Dragon Sara Davies, who has made her millions through her company Crafters Companion. Helen believes Sara will be a great help in assisting EasyTots’ expansion into the USA, where Sara has an already established business operation.

EasyTots was established in 2015 by Helen Davies. Despite running a successful window cleaning business for 12 years, Helen embarked on a new venture, inspired by daughter Keira’s messy eating habits. Selling up her previous business, she put all efforts into creating her range of baby suction plates that help reduce mess during the weaning stages. Made from BPA free silicone, EasyTots food trays are also oven safe, can have food baked directly in them, are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Today, EasyTots is a multi-award-winning brand and continues to make innovative design feeding solutions to help with mealtimes, from the very start of weaning to age 4. The company already exports its products across Europe, Asia, Australia, UAE and Canada.

Helen had the ‘The Call’ from a BBC producer in January last year. “Dragons’ Den had received my application and I had been shortlisted for audition” she explains. “I was absolutely over the moon”.

It wasn’t until March 2020 that Helen got the final go-ahead. Due to Covid, there was no certainty when, or if, the series would happen, and whether she would make it to the Den.  But in September 2020, everything happened at once. With lockdown restrictions easing she got the call that filming for Dragons’ Den would resume. Within just three weeks, Helen found some local warehouse space, built an office and moved in, took on her first full-time employee and launched her new Unicorn Collection – all while rehearsing for her pitch to the Dragons!
