As the UK’s nursery industry eagerly anticipates the return of Harrogate International Nursery Fair this month, the Baby Products Association is excited to announce the shortlist of products to make it through to the finals for its industry show awards – the Baby and Nursery Trade Awards (BANTAs).

The BANTAs have always been the highlight of the show, and retailers and buyers attending look out for the products which the judges (who are all industry experts) have deemed to be the best in the show. Products are judged on several criteria which the judges believe make them attractive to consumers, including safety, functionality, desirability, and value for money.

Julie Milne of the Baby Products Association comments:

“We are very excited to be returning to Harrogate this year and particularly to present industry awards. The BANTAs have always proved to be very popular and we are delighted with the number and quality of entries. The judges worked hard selecting which products should go through to the next round and the shortlist was based on several factors including consumer appeal, market need and value for money. Individual companies will be advised which of their products have been shortlisted by email and requested to bring a product sample to the show on Saturday 16th October, ready for final judging and the winners will be announced on Sunday 17th October 2021.”

The nine categories this year are:

  • Travel
  • Child carriers
  • Furniture
  • In the Nursery, Textiles & Soft Accessories
  • Baby Essentials
  • Safety, Toys & Educational
  • Best New Product
