Swedish family-owned brand, BabyBjörn celebrates International Babywearing Week with brand new colours for their favourite carriers and new research data into babywearing.

Baby Carrier Harmony

From this month, the popular Baby Carrier Harmony is now available in three new colours: a stylish shade of Black, a pretty Dusty Pink and a beautiful Cream – and the new colour-drop is here to stay! Combining colour and comfort for the ultimate babywearing experience, BabyBjörn’s Baby Carrier Harmony is a comfortable and ergonomic baby carrier with four carrying positions, including outward-facing and a back-carry and a long period of use, from newborn to three years. Two new colours of Baby Carrier Mini also launch in September in 3D Jersey fabric, BabyBjörn’s softest and most velvety material. The new colours; a gentle sandy neutral beige shade and a soft light pink, are a reflection of new parent’s desires for neutral fabrics. The simple design of Baby Carrier Mini makes it easy to put on, even in the middle of the night, and the luxurious, tactile fabrics are gentle on newborn’s delicate skin. Babies are being carried in a natural position, with their back in a gentle c-curve. The entire front section of the carrier opens for parents to put down their sleeping baby, and there is no fabric between the baby and parent’s chest, so ideal for skin-to-skin contact too.

Baby Carrier Move is now available in a classic Black – the carrier is designed for parents with an active, social lifestyle who want to take their baby with them from day one. The baby carrier has built-in back support and a waist belt that distributes weight away from the shoulders, as young babies grow heavier surprisingly quickly! The baby carrier’s thin and flexible 3D mesh fabric ensures that a new-born baby is sitting in a perfect position and the size of the baby carrier can be adjusted as the baby grows. The soft fabric hugs the baby’s back, legs and hips, and provides good support.

Baby Carrier One and One Air offer hours of comfy carrying from newborn all the way up to three years, the carrier can be used in 4 different positions to grow with baby, for perfect carrying ergonomics, use either parent facing, outward facing or for back carrying.

Bonding with baby is not just about feeling good, there are well established long-term benefits of having little ones close and these were reconfirmed recently in a report published in Biology Today. Scientists now acknowledge that walking whilst carrying baby is the most effective way to soothe them.
