Nimble founder secures significant investment from three Dragons 

Fast-growing family cleaning brand, Nimble, is excited to announce it appeared on Dragons’ Den last night (8^th March) and is over the moon to confirm its founder scored a hat trick, securing investment from not one, but three of the Dragons, to the value of £85,000.

Having spent more than 10 years working within one of the world’s largest consumer household cleaning product manufacturers, London based scientist Von Sy set out to develop a range that was safer to use around babies and children. The result was Nimble; effective cleaning products made using plant-based ingredients, not harsh chemicals, that perform just as well than traditional options.

Impressed by the brand’s proposition, the Dragons were keen to know more about Nimble.

Despite getting himself in a sticky situation (the fear faced by every entrepreneur in the Den) Von secured not one, but three offers. He negotiated with the Dragons and is delighted to have secured investment from all three. 

He received an offer from Tej Lalvani, Sara Davies also declared that she would invest and finally, the entrepreneur secured financial support from Touker Suleyman. The £85,000 investment saw Von give over 45% of his business to the Dragons.

Speaking about the experience, Von Sy said: “Dragons’ Den is by far the toughest thing I have done for the brand, but also the most rewarding. To have secured financial support from three truly brilliant business experts was just amazing and I am excited to see where the business will go with their guidance and knowledge.”

Since Dragons’ Den was filmed in April 2019, Nimble has gone from strength to strength. Not only expanding its presence internationally but also securing shelf space in leading high street retailers Boots and Sainsbury’s. 

The brand currently boasts a range of three products including the Nimble Sticky Stopper, a highly versatile bleach-free surface cleaner, Nimble Laundry Lover, a detergent made from 88% naturally-derived ingredients, and the brand’s patented Nimble Milk Buster, a truly unique baby bottle cleaner that safely and effectively cleans milk proteins and fats from plastic.
