Axkid Celebrates 15 Years of Child Safety
This July marks an exciting milestone for Axkid as they celebrate 15 years of dedicated service to child safety. Axkid has been educating families across the world about the importance of rear-facing car seats. Innovating for a safer tomorrow. Throughout this month Axkid will be sharing on social media their extensive journey on how they became the award-winning brand they are today! They will take you on a journey through Axkid’s history, delving deep into the importance of child safety and Axkid’s mission to educate others on the critical benefits of choosing a rear-facing car seat.
Daniel Johansson, CEO of Axkid, states, “The world’s youngest explorers require the best protection and comfort. We bring adventures to children and peace of mind to parents. Drawing on our Swedish heritage in safety, innovation, and design, we are producing some of the safest car seats available today. We do it for kids, the families, the grandparents, the friends, and all their adventures ahead.”
“We are extremely proud to reach this milestone, and look forward to many more years of growth and success. Without continued support from our valued business partners we would not be able to continue to spread the word that rear-facing travel for young children is up to 5 x safer.” said Jayne Caul, Managing Director of Axkid UK
Axkid’s mission is to protect children’s lives and foster a better, more sustainable world. They achieve this by prioritising safety and providing families with peace of mind through rear-facing car seats, a proven life saving solution as they are up to five times safer than forward-facing seats.
A rear-facing car seat provides comprehensive support to the child’s back, neck, and head, effectively distributing crash forces across a larger area. This significantly reduces pressure on the sensitive neck whilst a five point harness minimises the risk of submarining. Additionally, it helps prevent excessive force concentration on the soft abdominal areas, enhancing overall safety.
Axkid do it for the kids, their families, and all their little adventures ahead.
No View: Rear-facing car seats elevate the child, offering a broader and more panoramic view of their journey. This panoramic view provides a sense of connection to the world outside the car and allows children to observe passing landscapes, wildlife, other vehicles, and interesting landmarks, making the car journeys more interesting and exciting.
Motion Sickness: Motion sickness, also known as travel sickness, can be influenced by various factors beyond just the direction in which a child is seated. Research suggests sensory inputs like view, hunger, air ventilation, overheating, and other distractions are the primary factors.
No Legroom: Children naturally have more flexibility and mobility in their joints compared to adults. Extended rear-facing car seats also offer extended leg room as children grow bigger. Sitting with bent legs provides a stable base, which could help some children feel more secure and balanced in the car seat. This position is often more comfortable for children during a car journey, especially if they are used to sitting this way during other activities. Children find it uncomfortable to have their legs dangling, especially when in a car.
As part of the 15 year celebration, Axkid have also launched a limited edition Blue car seat in their award winning rear-facing car seat, the Movekid, Minikid 4 and One 2.
