Premium Italian pram brand Inglesina has been pushing the boundaries with its innovative designs for over 60 years and now boasts a new innovation in its Darwin car seat range: the Darwin Infant Recline – a new lie-flat car seat which comes with a 360 rotating base. 

The Darwin Infant Recline car seat and the Darwin 360 rotating base will now come as standard with the all new Aptica and revamped Aptica XT travel system Quattro packages. Both products offer many innovative modern features to appeal to today’s parents.

With a consistent dedication to baby wellness, the brand new Darwin Infant Recline car seat includes an innovative mechanism that lowers the backrest and extends the leg rest, allowing the child to safely recline in a perfectly aligned position.  The seat also features a fully ventilated shell for maximum comfort plus a new energy absorption system for safety.

The Darwin 360 base allows parents to swivel their Darwin seat for easy access and stress-free travel. Easy to use, the rotating base can turn a full 360 degrees, offering a practical way to lift baby in and out of the car.

The same base can be used for both the infant and toddler seats, so parents can enjoy the ease and practicality of a rotating car seat for longer. Once locked into place, the base keeps the seat completely secure, with the child’s safety being the priority  in all of Inglesina’s innovations.

Key features of the Darwin Infant Recline include:

• VENTILATION. The seat is equipped with 149 holes that are evenly distributed to allow for air circulation, to aid baby’s comfort.
• ROTATION. Thanks to its small size, the seat can rotate on the base even when fully reclined, so baby’s sleep isn’t disturbed.  The base can be used for both the Darwin Infant Recline and the Darwin next stage seat.
• BABY WELLNESS. Sleeping fully reclined is best for baby in the early months, and the addition of a bamboo fibre reducer and head hugger keeps them comfortable during travel.
• SAFETY AND COMFORT.  The Darwin Recline comes with an Integrated Shock Absorber (ISA) which distributes the energy transmitted in the event of an impact, and high level Side Impact Protection (SIP) technology.
