The winners of the 2022 MadeForMums Awards have been announced, revealing parenting trends for sustainable, budget-friendly, space-saving products.

Award winners include compressed biodegradable wipes the size of a pack of mints, reusable bacteria-destroying swim nappies, a clothing rental service, and a cuddly toy elephant that records a parent’s voice.

MadeForMums, the UK’s number one parenting site for product reviews have announced the winners of the prestigious MadeForMums Awards 2022 with the choice of winners revealing the changing priorities of parents and the new family habits and trends that have emerged over the past year.

The MadeForMums Awards are the most rigorously tested parenting product awards in the industry, recognising the best parenting products across 102 categories covering everything from buggies, slings and breast pumps, to nappies, pregnancy essentials and bedside cribs.

Over 1,100 individual products were put through a rigorous judging process involving a panel of expert judges and at-home trialling by more than 1,000 family testers.  The winning products are chosen based on a range of criteria including ease of use, effectiveness and value for money.

This year’s MadeForMums Award winners reflect the desire for more sustainable products and the importance of multi-function items that problem-solve, take up less space, and have a longer life, reducing waste, and saving money. The winning products also reveal the trend for making more of the outdoors and nature, with family walks providing low-cost entertainment and experiences at a time when parents are having to carefully budget.   

Winning products include bacteria-killing reusable swim nappies, a pre-school carrier that takes up less space, a foldable playpen that can double as a den for an older child and a steriliser that also warms food and can defrost breastmilk all in one device.
