An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sales/account manager to join one of the fastest growing nursery brands in the UK.

Ickle Bubba is a design led, British nursery manufacturer who have enjoyed year on year growth and as part of their exciting plans they are looking for an ambitious person to join their award-winning team.

The successful candidate will have nursery industry experience and be able to demonstrate growth across independent/national accounts within a defined territory.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be home based and the ideal location would be North or Central England.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain and expand existing retail customers.
  • Develop new client relationships and as new business is crucial, it is essential that you are driven and have experience in this area.
  • As a field-based role, it is expected that you will be on the road regularly and enjoy working autonomously. 
  • Work as part of an efficient team and become the main day to day contact between internal resources and clients.
  • Where necessary, produce and work to seasonal promotional calendars.
  • There will be a requirement to work a number of weekends each year across both consumer and trade shows.
  • Present sales reports, carry out forecasting and complete general admin work as required.

Skills required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A good organiser able to manage own time and diary.
  • Self-driven and enjoy using their own initiative. 
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Possess good business acumen.
  • Comfortable working with financials.
  • Computer literate – knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel spread sheets in particular.
